After taking photos from my door for year, it came time in 2010 to make a book on Barrio Logan. It was never intended to be an historical record, yet many of the places in the book are no longer. Quotes in the book included, “Cities pay big money to recreate the authenticity that’s already here.” “A pushcart passes by each day offering ice cream and a reality check.”
The local Barrio Logan bookshop Libelula opened in 2021 and has become the ideal home for the book…a memento about a beloved neighborhood.
