MakersTable 1- showing promise.
I’ve always been fascinated by the workbenches - where the worker and tools meet and magic can happen. The idea of MakersTables is to imbed tools of the trade (mechanic, shoemakers, barista, etc.) into the workbench table itself. A kind of homage to the dying art of making things by hand- with tools specific to that craft. The first table is underway with great craftspeople at Old Fashion Lumber in Barrio Logan. Here’s are a few photos the work in-progress. It’s hard to say where it’s headed, and that’s a good sign.
