Miriello MakersTables:® I’ve always been intrigued by the workbenches - the spot where worker and tools meet and magic can happen, the de facto “shrine” of the artisan. MakersTables nests tools of the trade (chef, shoemakers, barista, architect, board-shaper, etc.) into the workbench table itself. An homage to the disappearing disciplines of making things by hand, with tools specific to that craft. The proof of concept table (bicycle maker), was crafted by the great craftspeople (Zac and Don) at Old Fashioned Lumber in Barrio Logan. A collaboration of passionate woodworkers and designer. MakersTable2 uses aluminum extrusions as sources for light. Shine a light below and watch a constellation appear. Newest Miriello MakersTables underway. -rm
