San Diego Italian Film Festival

The San Diego Italian Film Festival was founded in 2007 by Victor Laruccia. The festival gala occurs every September, with films shown throughout the year. Most films are contemporary and in the Italian language for Italians or lovers of Italy. Miriello Grafico designed the original brand elements for the the film festival, in support of the growth of film and Italian culture in San Diego.

The piazza helps hold Italian culture together. It’s a place where a baptismal, a car rally and a rap concert happen all in the same day. The nonprofit San Diego Italian Film Festival aspires to create a cultural “piazza” in San Diego. The main ingredient is film, but the true recipe is coaxing people out into our virtual piazza.

MIRIELLO designed: festival graphics, logos, newspapers, marketing materials, intro videos, festival awards, marketing materials, website.

Filmed in Rome, Italy by Michele Angelini, this short video ran at the end of all Italian movies shown at the 2010 San Diego Italian Film Festivale. Art Director Ron Miriello / Miriello Grafico. Edited by Tallgrass Pictures.
